“Wind-down Wednesday” for stressed-out students

In the midst of midterms, Johns Hopkins University is offering students an oasis from exams. The Center for Health Education & Wellness (CHEW) is hosting “Wind-down Wednesday” from 1 to 4 p.m., on Oct. 20, when Levering Lounge in Levering Hall will be transformed into an official study-free zone.

Sheridan Libraries Acquire Unique Collection of Rare Books Related to Science and Discovery

The Johns Hopkins University Sheridan Libraries today announced the acquisition of a unique collection of 280 rare books and manuscripts relating to the history of scientific discovery from the late 15th to the 20th centuries. Made possible through a generous bequest from the Hinkes family, the collection was assembled over 20 years by the late Dr. Elliott Hinkes, a member of the School of Medicine’s class of 1967.
