WHAT: Solar eclipse watch party
WHERE: The Beach at Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. The “beach” is the grassy area in front of the Milton S. Eisenhower Library.
WHEN: From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Monday Aug. 21
Details: University students, faculty and staff will gather on campus, weather permitting, to view the solar eclipse, when the moon will completely cover the sun in many parts of the country – and almost completely in Baltimore. The library, which is sponsoring the viewing party, will have materials on hand for people to make their own pinhole viewers. There will also be a limited amount of NASA-approved viewing glasses.
