Johns Hopkins Undergrads Intern with Nonprofits in Need

The Johns Hopkins’ Community Impact Internships Program, run out of the Center for Social Concern, was born after an anonymous donor gave $1.25 million so the university could develop a way to get students off campus to experience Baltimore.

Schools of Education Lend Expertise and Support to The East Baltimore Community School

The Johns Hopkins University School of Education and Morgan State University’s School of Education and Urban Studies have joined forces in a university-school initiative to help transform the East Baltimore Community School into one of the best schools in the city.

Panel discussion: The Changing Face of American Poverty

The Johns Hopkins University Center for Social Concern and Tribe Inc. will present a non-partisan panel discussion about “The Changing Face of American Poverty” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26. The program will take place in the Levering Union’s Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus of Johns Hopkins University. The event is free and open to the public.
