Johns Hopkins Summer Program Hooks Baltimore City Teens on Science

Biophysics Research for Baltimore Teens, a paid summer internship program, aims to give city high school students from low-income communities a head start in science careers by exposing them to the thrills of university-level bio-medical lab work.

Two Johns Hopkins Students Win Biophysical Society Award

Houston-native W. Austin Elam and Preston Moon, a native of Greensboro, N.C., both graduate students in the T.C. Jenkins Department of Biophysics at The Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and in the university-wide Program in Molecular Biophysics, were among 20 students nationwide selected to receive the Biophysical Society’s 2011 Student Research Achievement Awards.
