Noted animator J. J. Sedelmaier will screen his work in an illustrated lecture, “J. J. Sedelmaier Productions: Hiding in Plain Sight,” on Monday, April 16. The talk will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the F. Ross Jones Building, Mattin Center, on the Homewood campus at 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.
In addition to over 500 TV commercials, animation and design pieces, J. J. Sedelmaier is responsible for SNL’s “Saturday TV Funhouse” series with Robert Smigel (“The Ambiguously Gay Duo” and “The X-Presidents”), the launch season of MTV’s “Beavis and Butt-Head,” Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s “Harvey Birdman – Attorney at Law,” and the “Tek Jansen/Alpha Squad Seven” series for The Colbert Report.
His creative development and production studio, J.J. Sedelmaier Productions Inc., which he directs with his wife, Patrice, also lends its services to corporate branding for companies like Nickelodeon, the Chicago Tribune, Cartoon Network and Converse/USA. Sedelmaier also contributes weekly to Print Magazine’s blog, “Imprint.”
“J. J. Sedelmaier Productions: Hiding in Plain Sight” is co-sponsored by Homewood Art Workshops and Homewood Arts Programs.
