Johns Hopkins Theatre Arts and Studies Program Presents ‘Kick the Can’

The Johns Hopkins University Theatre Arts and Studies Program will present “Kick the Can,” a play based on a novel by Jim Lehrer, with curtain times at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 7, 8 and 9, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10. The four performances will be in the John Astin Theatre in the historic Merrick Barn on the university’s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

Johns Hopkins Theatre Arts and Studies Program Sings the Music of Stephen Sondheim

The Johns Hopkins University Theatre Arts and Studies Program will present “A Celebration: The Music of Stephen Sondheim” during three performances this month in the John Astin Theatre in the historic Merrick Barn on the university’s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. Curtain times are 8 p.m. on both Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.

Johns Hopkins Theatre Arts and Studies Program Presents the World Premiere of “Legion”

The Johns Hopkins University Theatre Arts and Studies Program will present the world premiere of Legion at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in the John Astin Theatre in the historic Merrick Barn on the university’s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. Two additional performances will follow at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.

Johns Hopkins Names Theatre After Actor John Astin

Johns Hopkins University has honored John Astin by naming the recently renovated theater in the Merrick Barn after the noted actor and teacher. The naming took place Saturday, Dec. 3 at an event celebrating the completion of renovations to the barn, and recognizing Astin’s 10-year anniversary of teaching, acting and directing at Johns Hopkins.

Johns Hopkins University Theatre Presents “Fool for Love”

The Johns Hopkins University Theatre will present Sam Shephard’s “Fool for Love,” over two weekends, beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, in the Merrick Barn on the university’s Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.
